Ferroalloys
Niobium, vanadium, molybdenum and more…
The manufacture of ferroalloys requires superior quality aluminum granules to ensure predictable results for optimal productivity. Alugreen products are perfectly adapted to meet specific customer needs.
- Consistent reaction time for better fusion quality control
- Highest range of purity for recycled granules
- Specific surface area optimized for ferroalloy production
- Equivalent to atomized granules for metallic waste percentage
- Better price than with atomized granules
Thermite Welding
Railroads, steel structures...
Thermite welding is the process of igniting a mix of aluminum and alloy granules that produce a molten metal poured between working metal pieces to form a welded joint.
- Consistent reaction time within industry standards (20 to 30 seconds)
- Specific surface area optimized to minimize secondary reactions
- Weld quality meeting or exceeding industry standards
- Better price than with atomized granules
- Carbon free granules
Paints/Polymers
Aluminum granules are mixed with paints or polymers to provide unique characteristics such as higher friction coefficient, uniform heat transfer and aesthetic aspect.
- High purity provides better thermal conductivity
- Spherical shape provides uniform paint layout and visual aspect
- Better price than with atomized granules
Petrochemical
The manufacture of petrochemicals such as catalysts often involves the use of aluminum granules because of their unique properties.
- High specific surface area improves the rate of reaction for better productivity
- Highest available purity range for recycled granules: between 96.0% and 99.7%
- Better price than with atomized granules
Moulding/Refractories
The moulding of polymers or metal parts requires uniform heat distribution, which is provided by the use of aluminum granules in the mould.
- High purity provides uniform heat distribution
- Better price than with atomized granules
Explosives
Aluminum granules are a common ingredient in the manufacture of dynamite and other explosives mainly used in the mining industry. Aluminum content up to 25% enhances the combustion of other explosives.
- High specific surface area improves the rate of reaction for greater combustion speed
- Better price than with atomized granules
